How can we help?
Email info@studiosvisavis.com & we usually reply the same day.
Booking
Book online any time, & your booking is confirmed straight away. You can also call or email us during clinic hours.
Not sure what to book? Start with a free consultation.
Yes. Online bookings are paid in full when you book, which holds your spot. If you book by phone or email, we keep a card on file. The details are on our Service & product policies page.
Use the link in your confirmation or reminder, or call or email us.
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice. With less than 24 hours' notice, we charge 50% of the service. No-shows are charged in full.
The full policy is on our Service & product policies page.
Call us so we know you're on the way. If you're up to 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your treatment so the next person isn't kept waiting.
If you're more than 15 minutes late, we can't treat you that day, & it counts as a late cancellation.
10 minutes before your appointment, so you can check in & settle. On your first visit, give yourself 15 minutes so we can make sure your intake form is done before we start.
We're appointment only. If you drop by & we have an opening, we'll try to fit you in, but booking ahead is the only way to be sure.
Yes. Pick them when you book online, or call & we'll set it up. Some estheticians book up early with regulars, so book ahead if you have someone in mind.
Up to 12 months ahead. Saturdays & later appointments go first, so book early if you need one of those, or a particular esthetician.
Yes, we love hosting groups. You can book up to 2 people together online. For 3 or more, email or call us & we'll arrange it.
Group bookings need a 50% deposit to hold the appointments.
Your visit
New to the studio? Here's how a first visit works. Our First Visit page walks you through it step by step.
Yes. A consultation is free, with no obligation to book anything.
Two treatments start with a $50 consultation & patch test instead, so we can find safe settings for your skin: laser hair removal & Lumecca IPL. The $50 goes toward your first treatment.
For most treatments, no. Facials, peels & Forma you can book directly.
Morpheus8, Lumecca IPL & laser hair removal start with a consultation the first time, so we can check your skin & plan your sessions.
If you're not sure what to book, a free consultation is the easiest place to start.
A short form about your skin history, any medications & your goals. Please fill it in before your first visit, so your appointment goes to your skin instead of paperwork.
Your skin usually looks fresher after one session, but deeper change takes a series & a steady routine at home. That's true for facials & medical treatments alike.
We'll always tell you honestly what one session can do for your skin.
Our facials don't have add-ons. The steps other places charge extra for are already built in, which is why our facials run longer.
Microneedling is the one exception: you can add an optional booster to any session (see Microneedling below).
To combine several treatments in one visit, have a look at The Stack.

Facials
Questions that apply to all our facials. Each facial's own page has its timing, prep & aftercare.
What to expect
Your esthetician looks at your skin first & talks you through what they're using as they go. Chat or rest, both are fine. Plenty of people doze off during the mask.
If the pressure, a tool or the temperature doesn't feel right, say so & we'll adjust.
Most of our regulars come every 4 to 6 weeks. The glow from one facial lasts about a week, but lasting change builds over 2 to 3 months of regular visits.
Our skin quiz is the quickest way: answer a few questions & it points you to a facial for your skin & goals. Or book a free consultation & we'll suggest one.
As a rough guide, the Signature facials are an all-round reset, & the advanced facials add technology for a specific concern.
Before your facial
- 4 weeks before: no filler
- 2 weeks before: no Botox
- A week before: finish any facial waxing, & stay out of the sun & tanning beds
- 5 days before: stop retinols, acids & exfoliants
Come with clean skin or come as you are. Got an event? Book 5 to 7 days ahead so your skin has time to settle. Your facial's page has its exact timeline.
Yes, with a gap: 2 weeks after Botox & 4 weeks after filler.
If you've had a peel, laser or microneedling recently, tell us when you book & we'll make sure the timing's right for your skin.
Yes, with some changes. We don't do peels or microcurrent while you're pregnant or breastfeeding, so tell us when you book & on your intake form.
The Signature 60 & the Vis a Vis Signature are the easiest to adapt, & we'll swap out anything that isn't suitable. It's worth checking with your doctor too.
Aftercare
- Same day: skip saunas, hot yoga & heavy workouts
- 24 hours: no makeup
- 48 hours: pause acids & exfoliants
- Every morning: mineral SPF 50+, & stay out of direct sun & tanning beds
A little sensitivity afterwards is normal. Some facials have their own aftercare, which is on their page.
Leave makeup off for 24 hours, & skip heavy workouts, hot yoga & saunas for the rest of the day. Heat & sweat can irritate fresh skin.
When you go back to makeup, clean brushes & sponges help.
Very little. The Signature facials have none, & our advanced facials have little to none: your skin might look a bit pink for a few hours.
Your esthetician will tell you what to expect, & each facial's page has its aftercare.
Why our facials
We've been doing facials since 1984. Every facial pairs skilled hands-on work with professional technology, & the steps other places sell separately are built in.
That's why the Vis a Vis Signature runs 90 minutes & the Oxylight two hours.
Our Teen Facial is for ages 14 to 18. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian fills in the intake form before the first visit.
Medical aesthetics
Our device treatments. They go deeper than a facial, so each one has its own prep & aftercare on its page.
Microneedling
Fine needles make tiny channels in the skin, & your skin builds new collagen as it heals. We use it for acne scars, rough texture & large pores, not active breakouts. More on the Microneedling page.
Most people do 3 to 6, 4 to 6 weeks apart. Texture & pores tend to come round sooner, & acne scars take the higher end.
We offer single sessions & series of 3 or 6, which bring the price per session down. Prices are on the Microneedling page.
Some. Expect redness & a tight, sunburned feeling for 24 to 48 hours, sometimes with light flaking after. Most people are back to normal the next day.
No makeup for 24 hours, & no sun, saunas or heavy sweating for 48.
Optional extras added to your session: Exosomes for deeper regeneration, BioRePeel for tone & texture, & CO2Lift Pro to calm redness & shorten recovery.
Your provider will tell you if one suits your skin, or if you don't need one at all. Prices are on the Microneedling page.
Active breakouts in the area, a tan or sunburn, or pregnancy all mean waiting. Tell us if you've taken Accutane in the last 6 months or have a skin condition, & we'll go through it before we start.
Morpheus8
Microneedling with radiofrequency. Fine needles carry heat into the deeper layers of your skin, & new collagen forms over the weeks after. We use it for acne scars, texture & loose skin along the face, jaw & neck. Areas & prices are on the Morpheus8 page.
It depends on your pain threshold. Numbing cream goes on first if you'd like it, & most people find it manageable. You'll feel warmth & a quick prick with each pass.
Most plans are a series of 3, 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your provider sets the number at your consultation, based on your skin & goals.
Most people are back to their day within 24 to 48 hours. Expect redness, warmth & mild swelling, like a sunburn, for 1 to 3 days, & tiny grid marks that fade as your skin settles. Deeper treatments can take 5 to 7 days to fully settle.
Yes, the first time, & it's free. We check your skin, make sure Morpheus8 suits you & plan your series. Book a free consultation.
Forma
Radiofrequency that gently warms the layer where collagen is made. Over a weekly series, skin feels firmer & smoother. It's for skin that's starting to lose its firmness. You don't need a consultation first: book it directly. More on the Forma page.
None. Your skin may look flushed for an hour or two. Makeup, skincare & your normal day are all fine straight after.
Most plans are 6 sessions, one a week, then one every month or so to keep it up. A series of 6 costs less per session; see the Forma page.
Both use radiofrequency to build collagen. Forma warms from the surface, so there's no downtime, & it suits early loss of firmness & upkeep. Morpheus8 reaches deeper, for acne scars, texture & looser skin, with a few days of recovery.
Not sure? Book a free consultation.
Lumecca IPL
Intense pulsed light for sun spots, redness & uneven tone. The light breaks up pigment & settles visible vessels. We don't use it on melasma, which heat & light can make worse. More on the Lumecca IPL page.
Yes, the first time. It's a $50 consultation & patch test, & the $50 goes toward your first treatment. It shows us how your skin responds before a full session.
Most people do a series of 3, 4 to 6 weeks apart. Deeper or more widespread concerns can take up to 6.
Very little. Mild redness & warmth for a few hours, up to a day. Treated spots darken, then flake away over 3 to 7 days, so plan around that if you have an event.
Lumecca suits light to medium skin tones. It isn't recommended on darker or tanned skin, because the light targets pigment.
You'll also need to wait if you've been in the sun recently, are pregnant, or take medication that makes you sun-sensitive. It's why we only offer Lumecca in the cooler months.
Laser hair removal
Our laser is safe for all skin tones. It works best on dark hair, because it targets the pigment in the hair. Very light, grey, white or red hair has little pigment, so it doesn't respond as well.
Your first visit is a $50 consultation & patch test, so we can find the right settings for your skin & hair. The $50 goes toward your first session. More on the Laser hair removal page.
Most areas need 6 to 8 sessions, a few weeks apart. Hair grows in cycles & the laser only works on hairs in their growing phase, so each session catches a new set.
It's lasting reduction, not every last hair gone forever. Most people see their hair grow back finer & sparser. Hormones, age & genetics can bring some back over time, so an occasional touch-up is normal.
Yes, & you should. Shaving is the only hair removal to use during your course, since the laser needs the follicle in place. No waxing, plucking or threading. Shave the area the day before each session.
Peels
The Refining Peel is the lighter one: 30 minutes, with four peels your esthetician picks from on the day. BioRePeel is a two-layer peel for dull skin, uneven tone & rough texture, & takes 60 minutes.
Both have little to no downtime. Your esthetician will tell you which suits your skin.
Very little, if at all. Some people get light flaking or dryness for a day or two. Let it shed on its own.
BioRePeel is usually 3 to 6 sessions, 1 to 2 weeks apart. The Refining Peel starts with 4, 2 to 4 weeks apart, then one every 1 to 3 months to keep it up.
No. We don't do peels while you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Your skin can wait, & we'll be here after.
The Stack
A Stack is several treatments done back to back in one 90-minute session, in a set order so each one builds on the last. There are three: the Lift Stack, the Glow Stack & the Full Stack.
Your provider checks the whole sequence suits your skin before you start. More on The Stack page.
The Lift & Glow Stacks feel like warmth & a light tingle, & most people don't need numbing. The Full Stack includes microneedling, which is more intense, so numbing cream goes on first if you'd like it.
Not always. The usual reason is the IPL in the Full Stack. It targets pigment, so it suits light to medium skin tones & can't be done on tanned skin, which is why we only do IPL in the cooler months.
If a layer isn't right for you, we adjust it or swap it for one that is. We confirm all of this at your consultation.
It depends on the Stack. The Lift & Glow Stacks have little to none: you might look a bit pink for a few hours.
The Full Stack has more, because of the microneedling & IPL. Expect redness & a tight, sunburned feeling for 24 to 48 hours, & any treated spots darken & flake away over 3 to 7 days.
Many people see more glow after one. The deeper change comes from new collagen, which builds over the weeks after, so we recommend a series of 3.
90 minutes for every Stack, all in one appointment.
Often, yes. Redness is one of the things the IPL in the Full Stack treats. What matters is timing & settings, so we check your skin first & hold off if it's flaring. Sensitive skin usually means a gentler setting rather than skipping a layer.
Yes, with the right timing. Tell us what you've had & when, & we'll plan your Stack so the two don't interfere.
Yes. Plenty of people start with one Stack & move to another as their skin changes. Nothing locks you into one.
Providers, plans & pricing
Trained medical aestheticians. Nobody performs a device treatment until they've finished the training & supervised practice for it, & your skin is checked in the room before every treatment.
Yes. Most of our medical treatments come as a series at a lower price per session. Each treatment's page lists its series, & your provider recommends how many sessions at your consultation.
Series & packages aren't refundable, but the value stays yours. Unused sessions are valid for 2 years, & if your plans change you can put what's left toward other treatments or products.
If you need to stop for a medical reason, talk to us & we'll work it out.
Products
Ask your esthetician at your next visit. They've seen your skin up close & can tell you what will work for it. Your first visit ends with a short routine for your skin & how to use it.
Not booked in? Email us at info@studiosvisavis.com with what you're using now & what you'd like to change, & we'll point you in the right direction.
Most of what we use in the room is professional-only, but there's a retail version of most of it. Ask your esthetician & they'll point you to the one that fits your routine.
Yes. We're an authorized retailer for every brand we carry, & we buy directly from each brand or its official distributor. So everything is genuine, properly stored & in date, never grey-market.
Orders & shipping
We aim to send orders the same day, but allow 1 to 3 business days when we're busy. Delivery then takes 3 to 5 business days, with tracking.
Shipping is free on orders over $125. Below that, it's $10 within Ontario & $15 to $18 elsewhere in Canada.
Yes. Choose Pickup at checkout instead of a shipping address. We'll email you when it's ready, usually within the hour while we're open. Just give your name at the front desk.
When your order ships, you'll get an email with a tracking link. It can take the carrier 1 to 2 days to show updates.
Give tracking a little time first: carriers can take 1 to 2 days to update. If it still hasn't moved after 3 days, email us at info@studiosvisavis.com & we'll help you trace it.
If it says delivered but you don't have it, wait 24 hours. Parcels are sometimes marked delivered early or left with a neighbour. Still missing? Email us & we'll work with you & the carrier to sort it out.
Once a parcel is with the carrier, we can't always promise a free replacement, but we'll always help. If we send a replacement, we may ask for a signature on delivery or a different address.
Sorry about that. Email a couple of clear photos of the item & the packaging to info@studiosvisavis.com, & we'll make it right.
Mostly Canada Post, sometimes UPS, depending on the order & where it's going. Either way, you'll get a tracking link.
Email us at info@studiosvisavis.com as soon as you can. We can usually change or cancel an order before it ships. Once it's shipped we can't change it, but we'll help you with the next step.
Within Canada only.
We'll let you know as soon as we can & sort it out with you: wait for it to come back, swap it for something similar, or refund that item.
Returns
Unopened products in their original sealed packaging can be returned within 15 days of delivery, with your receipt. For health & safety reasons, we can't take back opened or used products, except after a reaction. How to request a return is on our Service & product policies page.
Email info@studiosvisavis.com within 15 days with at least two clear photos of the area. Once we've reviewed it, we'll arrange a replacement or a refund.
We don't refund services. But if a treatment didn't feel right, email info@studiosvisavis.com & tell us what happened. We'll do what we can to make it right.
Gift cards
With a gift card. Buy one online & we email it with your note, today or on the day you pick, or pick one up at the studio.
Not sure how much? Our gift guide shows the amount that covers each facial, tax included.
They work like cash toward facials, treatments & products. They can't be used for injectables, can't be replaced if lost or stolen, & all sales are final.
Not yet. Mangomint, our online booking system, doesn't have a way to add a gift card at checkout. Text us at (647) 879-3232 or send a booking request & we'll book you in. You pay with your gift card at your visit.
No. The balance stays on the card until it's used.
