Welcome to studiosvisavis.com (the “Site”), run by Studios Vis a Vis (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Site or shopping on it, you agree to these Terms of Use & our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms at any time by posting the new version here, & continuing to use the Site means you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
Treatment information
Information on the Site about treatments, skin & skincare is general information, not medical advice, & results vary from person to person. Every treatment starts with an assessment of your skin, & you’ll complete an intake & consent form before you’re treated. Your provider may change or decline a treatment if it isn’t suitable for you.
Bookings
Appointments booked online are made through our booking system, run by Mangomint, & are subject to the booking, deposit & cancellation terms shown when you book.
Intellectual property
Unless we say otherwise, everything on the Site, including photos, before & after images, videos, illustrations, designs, icons & text (the “Content”), is owned by or licensed to Studios Vis a Vis. You may view, download or print Content for your own personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not copy, republish, share, sell, modify or create work based on any Content without our written permission. That includes using data-gathering tools on the Site, framing the Site, or using our name in hidden text or meta tags. Before & after photos are shared with our clients’ consent & may not be reused anywhere.
You’re welcome to link to our homepage, as long as the link isn’t false, misleading or disparaging, & doesn’t use our logo without permission.
Trademarks
The Studios Vis a Vis name, logo & related graphics are our trademarks & may not be used in connection with any product or service that isn’t ours, or in any way that could confuse customers or discredit us. Other brand names & logos on the Site belong to their owners.
Copyright concerns
If you believe something on the Site infringes your copyright, email info@studiosvisavis.com with the subject “Copyright” & include:
- the work you believe has been copied;
- where it appears on the Site, ideally with a link;
- your name & contact details; &
- a statement that you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner.
We’ll review every notice we receive.
Marketing communications
We only send marketing emails to people who have signed up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.
Orders
We may refuse, limit or cancel any order, including orders that appear to be placed by resellers or distributors, even after it’s been confirmed. If we change or cancel your order, we’ll contact you using the email or phone number you gave us, & if you’ve already been charged, we’ll refund you. Prices & availability may change without notice.
Product information
We do our best to describe & show our products accurately, but we can’t guarantee that every description is complete or error-free, or that colours will look the same on your screen. Products are sold for personal use only & may not be resold. Returns are covered by our Shipping & Returns policy.
Risk of loss
Ownership of, & responsibility for, items you order passes to you once we hand your order to the carrier.
Your account
If you create an account on the Site, you’re responsible for keeping your password private & for any activity under your account.
Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites & services. We’re not responsible for their content or practices, & a link doesn’t mean we endorse them.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the Site & its Content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise that the Site will always be available or free of errors or viruses, & we may correct errors or update information at any time, including after you’ve placed an order.
To the extent the law allows, Studios Vis a Vis is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
Indemnity
You agree to cover any claims, losses or costs, including reasonable legal fees, that we face because you misused the Site or broke these Terms.
Electronic communications
When you use the Site or email us, you’re communicating with us electronically & agree to receive our communications electronically. Notices & other messages we send by email or post on the Site meet any requirement for them to be in writing.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario & the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the Site will be handled by the courts in Toronto, Ontario, unless consumer protection laws give you the right to bring it elsewhere.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
