Pre-Treatment

- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least one week prior to the treatment.

- Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before.

- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2-4 weeks prior.

- Stop using certain medications that increase sun sensitivity one week prior. (Examples include glycolic, tretinoin, retinol, and some antibiotics.) 

- Avoid waxing, tweezing, or other hair removal for several weeks.

- Cleanse the treatment area but avoid lotions, creams, or makeup.

- Apply cool compresses or aloe vera gel to soothe irritation.

- Avoid hot showers, baths, and saunas for 2-3 days.

- Keep the treated area clean and dry.
